‘Create a good moment’– Brito sends warning message to Super Eagles ahead of Zimbabwe clash

Nigeria’s Super Eagles will play Zimbabwe in the 2026 FIFA World Cup on November 19th.

Zimbabwe national football team head coach Bartemar Brito has made an impassioned appeal to the nation to support the Warriors as they prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Nigeria on April 15 and 19 respectively. Soccernet.ng reports.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have not yet announced their squad list for this match, but we will know in the coming days which of the Zimbabwean players they will exchange tackles with.

Meanwhile, Brito, who prepared a provisional squad list, stressed the importance of the Warriors receiving support from the country in order to get off to a strong start towards qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Sent a warning message to coach Jose Peceiro’s squad and announced their aim to deliver positive results for Zimbabwean football fans.

“We will try to create good moments for them (the fans),” Brito was quoted on the Zimbabwe Football Association’s official website as saying.

The Warriors begin the season with an away game in Rwanda, followed by a home game against Nigeria just four days later. The Warriors’ goal is to create unforgettable moments for their fans.

The much-awaited match against Nigeria is scheduled to take place at the Hue Stadium on Wednesday, November 19th, with Zimbabwe expected to stage a thrilling showdown for a spot in the World Cup.
