Bundesliga: Spectacular Boniface nominated for Rookie of the Month Award for the fourth consecutive time

Boniface, last season’s top scorer in the UEFA Europa League, moved to Leverkusen after an excellent season with Union Saint Giroise in Belgium.

Super Eagles striker Victor Okoh Boniface has been nominated for the Bundesliga Newcomer of the Month award for the fourth consecutive month, Soccernet.ng reported.

Boniface, 22, joined Werkself from Union Saint Giroise in a €22 million deal last summer and has since scored eight goals and assisted five more in just 13 appearances.

The Nigerian player has won every Newcomer of the Month award since joining the Bundesliga and was nominated for the same award in November.

RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons and S.C.’s Marlin Rohrfreiburg were also nominated for the league’s promoted team award.

Laur scored two goals and provided one assist for Christian Streich’s side last month, helping them stay unbeaten in the league and currently sit in eighth place.

Xavi was also a revelation for Marco Rose’s team. The 20-year-old Dutch player has maintained consistent performances since joining Die Rotten Vlein on loan from Paris Saint-Germain. In his 13 games he scored 4 goals and recorded 7 assists.

Bayer Leverkusen are the only team in Europe’s top five leagues unbeaten in all competitions and remain the team that has scored the most goals in Europe so far this season.

Xabi Alonso’s team is aiming for the title and aims to become Bundesliga champions in May.
