Victor Boniface moved from Belgian club Union Saint Giroise to Bayer 04 Leverkusen and won the “Rookie of the Month” award for four consecutive months.
Super Eagles striker Victor Okoh Boniface has been a supplier for Bayer 04 Leverkusen’s trip to Stuttgart in the Bundesliga, reports Soccernet.ng.
Leverkusen are yet to taste defeat in 13 games in the German league, but Stuttgart showed great confidence after defeating Borussia Dortmund in the DFB Pokal earlier in the week.
The home team started as pioneers as star striker Selous Guirassy, who scored 16 goals in 12 games, had to fumble twice against Bayer goalkeeper Lukas Hradecki.
The first goal was scored five minutes before half-time. Joscha Vagnoman sent the ball to the far post before former Borussia Dortmund winger Chris Fürich fired home from close range.
Leverkusen started the second half bravely and equalized two minutes later. Due to a poor pass from the opposing midfielder, the ball fell well into the path of Boniface, who, after passing Dan-Axel Zagadou, passed the ball to Florian Wirtz, who shot the ball into the goal.
The home side continued to put pressure on Xabi Alonso’s side to get all three points, but Leverkusen persevered and continued their unbeaten run.

Alonso’s side are still at the top of the league after four games and are the only team in the league still unbeaten.
