Boniface produces magic for Leverkusen again; Ogbu on target for Slavia Prague

The Europa League started on Thursday and some players were active with their clubs

Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface had a goal and an assist as Bayer Leverkusen beat Hacken 4-0, Soccer reports.

Boniface has been passionate about Bayer Leverkusen since joining from Royal Union SG in the summer. Against Hacken, manager Xabi Alonso ordered the Nigerian striker to lead the attack.

Werkself was the heavy favorite to win and dominated the match from the start. Boniface and Florian Wirtz combined well and it took just 10 minutes for them to take a 1-0 lead. Amin Adli scored Bayer Leverkusen’s second goal in the 26th minute, sealing the victory.

Adri turned provider in the 66th minute, Boniface scored the third goal, and four minutes later Jonas Hofmann scored the fourth.

Boniface had a great match as usual. The 22-year-old attacker had 30 touches on the ball, five shots on goal and one successful dribble.

Meanwhile, in Switzerland, Igo Ogbu scored Slavia Prague’s second goal against Servette in a 2-0 win.

Lucas Masopust scored Slavia Prague’s first goal in the 32nd minute. Ogbu then scored the Czech team’s second goal in the 59th minute.

The 23-year-old midfielder played the full 90 minutes for his team.
