Bhuvneshwar Kumar Claims Indian-Record Fifth T20 Five-For

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has become only the fifth bowler with five T20 five-fors in men’s T20s, achieving the feat during the 2023 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy clash between Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has an impressive T20 record. In his 267 matches he took 282 wickets at an average of 24.675, with a five-wicket haul and an equal number of five-fors. His last record came in his domestic T20 match played on Wednesday. India.

He played for Uttar Pradesh and took Karnataka’s last five wickets and entered the record books with five five-wicket hauls in this format. Currently, the player with the most five wins in T20s is David Wiese (six), while Lasith Malinga, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shakib Al Hasan also have five each.
