AB de Villiers supports Virat Kohli and Babar Azam to become top-runners at the 2023 Asian Cup. According to the former player, no batsman from any other participating team has shown more consistency than Babar and Bilat.
India and Pakistan will meet in Palekele on Saturday 2nd September. De Villiers was asked to nominate the best running scorer for the Continental Cup and World Cup.
“I will be in the 2023 Asian Cup with Virat Kohli and Babar Azam. The other team’s batsmen weren’t good enough. Virat and Babar run the score, they score hundreds for Papa. I’m sure we’ll meet upstairs and I’d be surprised if anyone else criticized them,’ he said.
Regarding the ICC World Championships 2023, he said that the condition of the players at the start of the tournament will determine the leaders.
“That’s a tough question. I’m not sure. Babar, Kane Williamson, Virat Kohli. There are many people who can do that.”
