October’s Awaziem was brilliant and was recognized for its achievements
Super Eagles defender Chidoji Awaziem has been nominated for the Player of the Month award for Portuguese First Division side Boavista, Soccer reports.
The 26-year-old defender has appeared in nine league games for Boavista this season. He made three appearances for Portugal in October. Boavista only won one of those games, but Awadziem was impressive.
In Boavista’s last match against Sporting, which they lost 0-2, Awadziem had a rating of 6.7 according to SofaScore. The former Porto player also recorded three clearances, three interceptions and two tackles. He also made 64 ball contacts and won four of the six matchups. In the match against Moreirense, Awaziem recorded 6 clearances, 1 tackle and 70 touches, earning him a rating of 6.9.
The Nigerian star has been nominated for the Player of the Month award following his impressive performance last month.

He was named along with midfielder Sebastian Perez and striker Robert Bozenik. Winners will be determined through a voting process.
Boavista are currently in 6th place in the Portuguese league with 15 points after 9 games. Awaziem will be hoping to produce another top performance this weekend when they face Rio Ave at Vila do Conde.
