The first Test between Australia and Pakistan will be played at Perth Stadium from 14th December, followed by the Boxing Day Test at Melbourne Cricket Ground from 26th December, and from 3rd January 2024. The third Test will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Pakistan is undergoing a major transformation with new captain Shan Masood at the helm following the debacle at the 2023 World Cup, but since Australia won their sixth trophy at the Men’s World Cup last month. Pat Cummins will lead the host team in his first appearance.
The last time Pakistan visited Australia for a Test series, their inexperienced pace attack lacked punch against Australia’s hard-hitting batsmen and they lost 2-0. David Warner, playing in his farewell Test series, scored 489 runs in two innings, including his career-best unbeaten 335 runs.
