Alpine adds Nicola Lacorte in its F1 academy

Alpine has hired Nicola Lacorte as its new F1 academy driver, with the Italian set to continue his career in F4.

Nicola competed in the 2023 F4 UAE Championship and 2023 F4 Italian Championship with PREMA Racing, and took his first F4 victory in the Italian Championship at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari. The 16-year-old Italian driver has achieved four podiums (three rookie podiums, one full-class podium) and two rookie wins across two championships. He finished 9th overall and 5th in the Rookie standings in Italian F4, and 24th overall and 9th in the Rookie standings in the F4-UAE Championship.

As the latest addition to the team’s young driver development program, Nicola will benefit from guidance and support from both Academy staff and the wider BWT Alpine F1 Team, as well as the team’s cutting-edge artistic You will also receive access to the facility.
