The second edition of the Women’s Premier League in 2024 will feature the same five teams as last time – Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, UP Warriors, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Giants.

The 2024 edition auction will be held on December 9 in Mumbai. Before the auction, the five franchises retained 60 cricketers, meaning they could acquire up to 30 new players. Currently, 165 cricketers have registered for the auction.

WPL 2024 auction: Format and rules

The 165 cricketers include 104 Indian and 61 overseas cricketers, of which 15 are from Allied countries. Out of 165 pieces he is limited to only 56 pieces. Recruitment will be held in a total of 13 times. Deandra Dottin and Kim Garth made the auction’s highest bid of Rs 50 million.

Bids will be held in 13 rounds. Each team must field a team of 15 to 18 cricketers, of which up to six are allowed to be overseas players. The playing eleven will consist of a maximum of five foreign cricketers, at least one of whom must be from a member country.
