Talking about their performances in the last season of the IPL, RR failed to qualify for the playoffs while LSG managed to make it to the last four. Having qualified for the final in 2022, the Rajasthan-based outfit finished at the fifth spot in the points table in 2023 after managing seven wins and as many defeats.
On the other hand, LSG qualified for the playoffs for the second year in a row. They won eight of their 14 league games and finished at the third spot.
