AFG vs IRE: When and where is the Test?
Afghanistan will play a friendly against Ireland in their home base of the United Arab Emirates from February 28th. The venue for the match isTolerance Oval inAbu Dhabi.
The two sides met once in this format in Dehradun in 2019, as they were last participants as ICC full members in 2017. Afghanistan took a seven-wicket victory with Rashid Khan taking his 2-20 and 5-82.

Ireland have made significant changes to their squad, retaining only five members of the Test squad from the 2019 Afghanistan Test. Andrew Balbirny will captain a 15-man group that also includes a number of new faces. After winning his ODI and T20I series against Zimbabwe in December, Ireland went to a preparation camp in Spain before heading to the United Arab Emirates ahead of the start of the Tests.
For the home team, Hashmatullah Shahidi will lead a squad of 15 players. Rashid Khan is still recovering from hip surgery and is not part of the team.
