Kolkata Knight Riders captain Nitish Rana teased a possible return for Gautam Gambhir to KKR with a social media post today (September 21).
Gambir, who coached Lucknow Super Giants in the last two editions of the Indian Premier League, previously had a great association with Kolkata Knight Riders.
Gambir won two IPL trophies in three years as KKR captain. His only two IPL trophies won by KKR are from 2012 to 2014. Earlier this year, there were reports that Gambhir might be eyeing a return as KKR’s coach. Several social media posts by him and his current KKR captain Nitish Rana have reignited the rumors.
Gambir today (September 21) posted a photo with Bollywood superstar and KKR owner Shah Rukh Khan, expressing his admiration for him.

Rana, who led KKR in the 2023 IPL in the absence of regular captain Shreyas Iyer, commented on Gambhir’s post and hinted at the possibility of a ‘return’.

However, Lucknow Super Giants reacted to Rana’s post by saying that the popular Indian daily soap ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ starring Jethalal, the main character of the show. replied with a meme mentioning “”. em>, scolded the child and told him not to fool around.
