Despite the willingness of both parties, no agreement could be reached. De Conde made it clear: “For Southampton, this had to be done through an exchange for Paintsil,” and after all he did not want to leave. They couldn’t convince him, but I’m so glad Joseph’s heart is with us. But in the end we had to change because we fell victim to Paul. ”
