Jasprit Bumrah leaves Team India to attend the birth of his first child

Jasprit Bhamra has left Team India with his wife Sanjana Ganesan, who is expecting their first child.

Although there is no official confirmation from Bowler and BCCI, News 18 reports that he traveled to Mumbai for the birth of his first child.

He will miss the match against Nepal on September 4, but is expected to return to the Super 4 stage.

The right-hander has returned to the Indian team after almost a year of recovering from back surgery. He captained the national team in his T20I series against Ireland before being named in the 2023 Asian Cup squad.

He will lead India’s bowling attack at the 2023 ICC World Cup. Meanwhile, Jasprit did not bowl against Pakistan as the match was called off due to rain after India’s innings.
