BCCI have announced India’s updated squad for the fifth and final Test of the ongoing series against England in Dharamsala.
When does the fifth Test start?
The fifth Test will begin on March 7 in Dharamshala. India won his fourth Test in Ranchi and will go into the match with an absolute lead of 3-1 in his fifth straight match.
This is the second Test match to be played in Dharamsala after the 2017 India-Australia Test.
What’s the injury status of KL Rahul?
Rahul has been out of the eleven since the first Test in Hyderabad and has yet to fully recover from a right quadriceps injury, which kept him out of the fifth Test.
He missed the second Test match in Visakhapatnam but was almost certain to return for the third match before being dismissed at the last minute. He has now been sent to London to consult specialists, and a press release states, “The BCCI medical team is closely monitoring him and coordinating further treatment of his problem with specialists in London.” “There is.”
Jasprit Bumrah returns
Bumrah, who was rested for the fourth Test in Ranchi, is ready to return to the team for the fifth Test. He had taken 17 wickets in the first three matches of his series before being released from the team to manage his workload. He was replaced in the Ranchi XI by debutant Akash Deep.

Other updates
Washington Sundar has been dropped from the squad and will be available for Tamil Nadu’s Ranji Trophy semi-final match against Mumbai starting March 2. A BCCI press release said that he will rejoin the Indian squad after the Ranji Trophy match if required.
BCCI’s press release also mentioned that Mohammed Shami, who suffered an ankle injury, underwent successful surgery and will soon visit the National Cricket Academy (NCA) to begin his rehabilitation.
