The FIA ​​has revealed details for the first F1 race of 2024, the Bahrain GP, ​​regarding track limits, DRS zones, stewards and more.

With the new F1 season just around the corner and 2024 beginning, the FIA ​​has released its first race director announcement for the Bahrain Grand Prix, announcing that Niels Wittig will continue as sole leader. He said no route changes have been made since the 2023 race.

Although the track boundary remains a white line, the FIA ​​has recommended that entrances and exits to Turn 15 be monitored and that if no one is within the line, the lap will be canceled and multiple lap penalties will be incurred for non-compliance.< /p>

“According to the provisions of Article 33.3, the white line defines the edge of the track. If a driver fails to comply with the track limits during qualifying and the race, the corresponding lap time will be declared invalid by the stewards. Furthermore , if a driver fails to comply with track limits on the entrance or exit of Turn 15, this lap time and immediately following lap times will be declared invalid by the stewards.”

Looking now at the three DRS zones, the detection zone for the first zone is 50 meters before turn 1, and activation occurs 23 meters after turn 3, when the circuit begins its lap around the Bahrain circuit. Masu. The second detection zone is 10 m before curve 9, and activation occurs 50 m after curve 10.
