Watch: At the 2024 CK Nayudu Trophy, Indiaβs inter-state U23 tournament, Andhra batter Vamshhi Krrishna hit six sixes in an over off Damandeep Singh of Railways.
Andhra captain Vamsi Krishna won the toss and was selected to bat at the YS Raja Reddy ACA Cricket Stadium. Batting first, wicketkeeper Vamsi Krishna (not to be confused with the captain) led the scoring with his 66-ball 110, which included 9 fours and 10 sixes.
Six of Vamsi’s ships came in the same way off Damandeep Singh. He swept his first ball with difficulty and bowled his next two balls over the bowler and into the middle to reach his fifty.
When he struggled to cross the line with the fourth and fifth balls too, Damandeep hit short. Vamsi then hit a six off the back foot over mid-wicket and turned his bat towards Damandeep.
Andhra registered 378 runs while Vamsi (55 runs), Dharani Kumar (81 runs) and Venkata Rahul (66 runs) also reached the age of 50. In the railway category he had SR Kumar with his 3 wins and 37 losses and MD Jaiwal with his 3 wins and 72 losses.
Railways scored 20-2 with Anshu Yadav (268) and Ravi Singh (258) adding 420 for the third wicket. Anchit Yadav scored 133 and Tufiq Uddin 87, resulting in a staggering score of 865-9 and the match ended in a draw. Two of his bowlers from Andhra, Vasu and Tripurana, and his Vijay crossed his 200 run mark.
