There were some concerns for Murray in the Qatari capital after he called his trainer in the first set complaining of knee pain.

However, the 36-year-old defeated Muller for the second consecutive year in Doha, and after the match the Briton spoke about his journey in recent months.

“The last few months have been really difficult for me on the pitch,” Murray admitted. “There were a lot of games where we didn’t win much, and there were a lot of games where we lost close games.”

The former No. 1 player continued: So many people came to watch the first round.

“I’m proud that we managed to get through the game and get another win. And I’m happy for the team who worked so hard with me to get through this difficult moment. I hope this is the start of something.” It’s getting better. ”

Murray will compete in the second round in Doha this afternoon, facing 18-year-old Jakub Mensik for the first time and aiming for his first two consecutive wins since August.

The last few months have been extremely difficult for Andy Murray. Murray believes his level is still high enough to compete with the best players. This is evident in how close of a fight he lost. So it would be great if he can get some wins this week, especially since he has points to defend his second place in last year’s tournament.
