In an earlier interview with Soccernet.ng, the Super Eagles attacker admitted to being shy but revealed that his wife encouraged him to convey his statement to the congregation to thank God for the success. .

His jubilant celebration included taking off his shirt and performing the Bible verse from Ecclesiastes 12:13. This passage encouraged believers not to doubt God.
