This is the first Test between the two teams and the eighth overall for Afghanistan. The Sri Lanka Cricket Board has announced free entry to his SSC ground in Colombo.

The match will begin on February 2nd at 10am Sri Lanka Standard Time (SLST).

For Afghanistan, Rashid Khan will be the only major absence as he is still recovering from a back injury. The team will be led by Hashmatullah Shahidi and Ikram Alikil will be the wicketkeeper.
