Nigeria and Argentina are known enemies and will soon face off

The Argentine Football Federation has announced two international friendlies against Nigeria and Ivory Coast for the second half of March this year, reports Soccernet.ng.

Nigeria and Ivory Coast are competing for the African Cup of Nations title. Nigeria defeated Cameroon and Elephants defeated defending champions Senegal, with both countries advancing to the quarter-finals of the competition.

AFCON is scheduled to end in February, but some countries are already planning additional matches after the tournament. On Tuesday, the Argentina national team announced two friendly matches against Nigeria and Ivory Coast. His two matches will take place as part of Argentina’s upcoming trip to Asia in March.

Nigeria and Argentina are known enemy countries. The last three times the Super Eagles have competed in the World Cup, they have been drawn in the same group as Argentina. However, Nigeria was always her second best.

The March friendlies are expected to be star-studded, as Argentina boasts world-class stars such as Lionel Messi, Lautaro Martinez, Julian Alvarez, Angel Di Maria and Enzo Fernandes.

The Super Eagles also have star players such as Victor Osimhena and Ademola Lookman. Manager Jose Peceiro will have to do without Victor Boniface, who is out until April due to injury.
