India’s star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant spoke about his recovery process ahead of the 2024 IPL auction in Dubai. The Delhi Capitals captain will represent the team at the auction table along with legends Sourav Ganguly and Ricky Ponting.

Rishabh Pant has not played cricket since a horrific road accident in December 2022 that damaged all three major ligaments in his right knee. He then missed the entire 2023 IPL and international cricket season while undergoing the recovery process at the BCCI’s National Cricket Academy in Bangalore, but is likely to return to action in the upcoming IPL.

Speaking to the franchise ahead of the IPL 2024 mini-auction, Rishabh Pant breaks his silence on his alleged return to the game, saying he is much better than he was months ago but still needs to Although it took several months to get back to full fitness, I was happy with the support I received throughout the recovery process.

“It was really great because every time we go on playing cricket we feel like no one loves us because the pressure is so much. Yes, it was a tough time but at least the people I learned that people love and respect me, and that they show some kind of care by being warm-hearted and infatuated with me. I have contributed,” Rishabh Pant said.

Rishabh Pant has been named by Delhi Capitals as one of their signings for next season and is expected to captain the team. The 26-year-old missed out on the Indian team for the entire tour of South Africa but was keen to make a comeback after joining his DC team-mates during a training camp hosted by Delhi Capitals. It will be added to the field during IPL 2024.

After releasing 11 players ahead of the auction, Delhi Capitals will walk away with Rs 28.95 crore in prize money. They will fill nine auction spots, four of which will be filled by foreign players, and teams will be keen to fill the holes ahead of the cash-rich league.
