Brivio departs from Alpine; Rouse to replace him as academy head

David Brivio has decided to part ways with Alpine Racing at the end of 2023, with Julian Rouse taking over as Academy Director.

 

Alpine Racing will part ways with Director of Racing Expansion Projects Davide Brivio at the end of the year, allowing the Italian to pursue other career opportunities.

This concludes a three-year partnership with Davide, who joined the team as Race Director ahead of the 2021 FIA F1 World Championship season. Since then, David has held the position of Director of Racing Expansion Projects and has also successfully managed the team’s young driver program, the Alpen His Academy.

Under David’s guidance and motorsport expertise, the Academy trains young drivers in a variety of motorsport disciplines, including recently Jack Doohan appearing in his first free practice session in Abu Dhabi. He has been a regular participant in F1 for the past few seasons. The team would like to thank Davide for his contribution during his time at Alpine and wishes him every success in his future career.

Julian Rouse will continue to lead the Alpine Academy program, which will enter its ninth year in 2024. The program currently has nine of his drivers from eight nationalities and he will continue to play a central role, covering four different series from FIA F2 to European karting. Role in the Alpine project.
