The lanky speedster took six wickets in a match-winning performance against Nepal, once again displaying his attacking prowess against Pakistan’s arch-rivals. He finished with his 4 wins and 46 losses, holding India to his 259 wins and 9 losses.
The most notable was the dismissal of India’s number 3 Rudra Mayur Patel. Zeeshan takes Patel into an aerial drive from outside the off-stump and finds the outside edge, but the keeper latches onto it.
Zeshan then turned his run towards the dismissed batsman and dismissed No. 5 Mushir Khan and hit two other players, half-century player Sachin Das and No. 9 Raj Limbani. and began celebrating.
Both teams had won their respective opening matches of the tournament (India defeated Afghanistan by 7 wickets). The top two teams from each group advance to the semifinals. The other group consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, United Arab Emirates, and Japan.
