“This (multi-city format) is a step ahead for us as it allows us to reach areas that women’s cricket has not yet reached and attract new audiences to women’s cricket. ”Added Smriti Mandhana.
WPL’s five teams are from different parts of India. The second edition is likely to be held simultaneously with Team India’s home series against England, followed by the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2024. BCCI will select the venue for the next edition of his WPL considering various criteria.
