The arrested police officer was from the Sacland Police Station and had crossed his jurisdiction. They were arrested in Nawabshah and sent to jail. Earlier, Maqsood and Yameen had reported allegations of corruption by the Sindh Police.

While the cricketers were on their way to Multan, they were stopped by law enforcement and asked for bribes. Maqsood narrated how he and his colleague Aamer Yamin were stopped by unscrupulous police officers in Sindh province as they headed to the team’s upcoming domestic T20 Cup match. Even though they identified themselves asPakistan‘s international cricketers, the authorities demanded payment.

Sohaib Maqsood recently shared a shocking incident involving Sindh Police authorities on X (formerly Twitter). According to the cricketer, he was traveling to Multan with his colleagues for the 2023 National T20 Cup match when he was stopped by the Sindh Police. The police demanded money from the players, which the players had to pay.

“I am very lucky to live in Punjab and not Sindh. “For the first time in my life, I am traveling on the road from Karachi to Multan and the police in Sindh are very They are so corrupt that they will stop you after 50 kilometers and ask you for money,” or they will threaten you, saying, “If you go to the police, they will go to the police for no reason.” If you give them money, they will stop you again 50km later and ask for money. Once again, corruption in the Sindh Police has reached its peak. ”

However, even after handing over the money, they were stopped and asked for more. Even though they claimed to be international cricketers, the police spared them no mercy. Parvez Chandio Police Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Shaheed Benazirabad said the officials were accused of stealing money from cricketers.
