The Nigerian striker has made a big impression at Montpellier and AC Milan could consider signing him next summer.
Nigerian striker Akole Adams said he feels comfortable in Montpellier because of the way they have treated him since he arrived, reported Soccer.
Adams moved to Ligue 1 side Montpellier last summer from Lilleström in the Norwegian First Division in a deal worth 4.5 million euros. And since his transfer, he has exceeded all expectations.
The 23-year-old striker has scored 7 goals in 11 games for Montpellier and is currently second in the top scorers. He is six goals behind PSG star Kylian Mbappé.
Following his impressive performances at Montpellier, Adams has attracted attention overseas, with AC Milan reportedly considering a move. However, nothing concrete has yet emerged from these discussions.
Meanwhile, Adams explained that he feels comfortable in Montpellier at the moment because of the love shown to him. He also believes that the club’s environment is perfect for his development.
“I am happy with my current situation and where I am. According to the Allez Paillade newspaper
, Adams said: “It’s a good environment for me to develop as a young player.” he said.
“Here in Montpellier I have everything I need. I am happy with my decision to come to a club that values me. I have a very good group around me. I am happy. ”
If Adams maintains his current scoring rate, he could become one of the hottest players in next summer’s transfer window. And most likely, he will have to leave Montpellier someday.
