David Willey’s ball from back-of-length connected straight into the middle as he tried to break free and take to the air. This was the first duck ever scored by Kohli in World Cup, ODI and T20I combined and turned out to be the longest duck in ODI.

Kohli had set very high standards for himself and was understandably angry at himself. Immediately after his dismissal, a video was released showing him angry and punching a couch in the locker room.

England bowled well throughout India’s innings and took regular wickets, but Rohit Sharma put in a brilliant performance of 87 off 101 balls. Suryakumar and his Yadav also contributed with his 49 runs, helping India cross his 200-score mark and finish with his 229 wins and 9 losses.

For England, David Willey was the star of the show, taking 3-45 from 10 overs, including two maidens.
