Super Eagles full-back Jamil Collins has revealed the reason for his withdrawal from the national team during the international break against Saudi Arabia, reported Soccernet.ng.
Collins, 29, was a regular at Bundesliga club SC during their time in Germany’s top flight. Paderborn before being relegated to the Bundesliga second division.

“It’s my fault that I couldn’t go to the national team. I was out for a long time and the coach wanted to rest due to a hamstring problem, so I told him not to do that. I think this advice was correct for me,” Collins said on the club’s official website.
The 29-year-old has enjoyed playing football in the Championship and across England and wants to make the most of it.
“I always wanted to play for England. I always wanted to try this football and I was really happy to come to Cardiff,” he added.
Erol Brutto’s side currently sit seventh in the Championship with 20 points from their first 13 games, while Kelechi Iheanacho’s Leicester are top of the table with 36 points.
