Watch: Naveen-Ul-Haq Responds To ’Kohli, Kohli’ Chant, Cleans Up Jos Buttler With A Jaffa

Watch: Naveen-ul-Haq bowled a beautiful delivery to clean bowl Jos Buttler during a 2023 World Cup match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

When they came into bat in Delhi, all Afghans had scored 284 runs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz led the way with a 57-ball 80, followed by Ikram Alikil with a 66-ball 58. England spinners Adil Rashid (3-42), Liam Livingstone (1-33) and Joe Root (1-19) returned with a record of 24-1, 94-5.

England hit back with 68 wins and 3 losses when Jos Buttler joined Harry Brook in the middle. The pair increased their score to 91:3.

Afghanistan opened the bowling with Mujeeb-ur-Rahman and Fazalhaq Farooqi. For the first change, Naveen-ul-Haq Buttler had already bowled a maiden.

When Naveen was playing for Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2023, he got into an altercation with Virat Kohli during a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. During the final match of the tournament between Afghanistan and India at the same venue, Naveen could be heard shouting “Kohli, Kohli” as he ran to bowl.

They made up that day but there was no rest for Naveen today. The chants returned as Brook mistimed the first ball of the next over and played a single. Naveen barges in again and the crowd starts screaming.

At this point Butler left and the game was paused for a few seconds, presumably to adjust the screen.

Naveen finally burst in and bowled well beyond the crease. The ball came in and he broke through Buttler’s defense – there was a big gap between bat and pad – and he hit the stumps.

At the time of writing, England are 190-8 with Adil Rashid and Mark Wood in the goalposts.
