Super Eagles fullback Ola Aina has been voted Player of the Month for September after a series of strong performances by Nottingham fans.
Nottingham Forest full-back Ola Aina will not be available for the Super Eagle match during the international break due to injury, reports Soccernet.ng.
The 27-year-old will unfortunately miss the Super Eagles’ upcoming friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique due to injury. His return date has not yet been determined.
Forest boss Steve Cooper recently confirmed that Aina was absent from team training ahead of Saturday’s game against Crystal Palace.
The club’s September Player of the Month award winner is out with a muscular injury and is out of Peseiro’s plans ahead of Friday, October 13th’s match against Saudi Arabia’s Green Falcons in Portimao, Portugal. It was decided to be removed.
Cooper, 43, announced that Aina will be sidelined at least until after the international break.
“Danilo is ready for a little longer. It will take some time before he returns to the group. He is on the pitch, but in the middle of his rehabilitation.” I don’t think so. We have Nuno before the international break and you will see it with Ola,” the manager told the club’s official website.
Just three days after the match against Saudi Arabia, the Super Eagles are scheduled to face Mozambique’s Manbas in the same city. All players on the team list will meet for a training camp in Faro, Portugal, starting Tuesday, October 10th.
In the meantime, Forest will be without Aina as they face Crystal Palace this weekend.
