Watch: Mushfiqur Rahim latched onto a “wow” catch, dismissing Kusal Perera with a stunning one-handed catch on the first ball of the over in the 2023 World Cup game between Bangladesh-Sri Lanka game in Delhi.
On the last ball of Shoriful Islam’s first over, Perera attempts a wide shot over the covers on a ball thrown outside the off-stump. The ball left the batsman and Sri Lanka only took a huge lead behind wicketkeeper Mushfiqur on the left.
The Bangladeshi glover quickly approached the ball and grabbed it with one hand with his left hand.
Perera did not have his best tournament at the World Cup, scoring five runs under 10 in six innings.
